Triomphe: A major step towards low-carbon buildings

Following around 10 months of work, the new hybrid installation at Triomphe was successfully delivered, marking a major step forward in reducing CO₂ emissions across the Befimmo portfolio.

What exactly did we achieve?

  • The entire concept of the two existing boiler rooms was redesigned. The new heat pumps now work harmoniously with the existing boilers.
  • All air handling units were dismantled and replaced with new ones with heat recovery, which now allows us to recover around 80% of the heat that used to be lost to the outside air.

This project stands out in several ways:

  • It is the largest intervention ever carried out on Befimmo's primary installations.
  • For the first time in Befimmo's history, all air handling units in an occupied building were replaced by air handling units with heat recovery.
  • The work carried out already delivers impressive energy results. For example, in December 2025, Triomphe consumed 73% less gas than in December 2024.

A study is currently underway to further decarbonise the building in a next phase.
