Quatuor : first workshop on urban gardening

In the context of the artistic prefiguration of the Quatuor project in the heart of the North Area of Brussels, the artist Celeste Gangolphe, together with Alexandre Lefebvre, expert in biodiversity and agroecology held an after-work workshop on urban gardening yesterday evening.

Participants could also take some cuttings (and seeds) of their choice home to extend the experience.

A few weeks ago, Céleste told us about some feelings of some passersby (in French):

- Une dame âgée, habitant l'immeuble au-dessus de la pizzeria, qui passe souvent en bas donc, me dit que les fleurs sont jolies et lui font du bien.  

- Une femme est passée plusieurs fois, elle trouve le projet très chouette. Elle est revenue une fois avec sa fille enceinte et son beau-fils, qui vivent juste à côté et qui vivent les désagréments liés aux travaux. Ils sont passés tous les trois et étaient ravis de toutes ces couleurs. Elle est ensuite repassée avec ses deux autres enfants, plus jeunes et m'a proposé de les rejoindre pour boire un café avec eux. 

- Une jeune fille s'est arrêtée un petit moment pour me parler, me dire qu'elle trouve le projet joli.

- Un homme, la quarantaine, qui arrive après quelques années passées sur l'île de la Réunion, et qui m'a dit que si l'île lui manquait parfois, les couleurs de la palissade ajoutées au quartier lui font du bien.
